Essential Bible Doctrine Series
This series on the Essential Bible Doctrine is designed to equip the Christian with the needed information to understand those essential doctrinal positions that will lead to a good understanding of further studies in the Word of God.
This series is designed to be taken in order, which is essential to understanding the doctrine. Each lesson is built upon information in the previous lesson and many of your questions will be answered as we continue through the study. It is also important that you be willing to open your mind to something new. Do not be afraid to ask God to open your eyes to the truth and to grant you an understanding of the truth. If you do, and if your heart is in the right place, and you truly want to know the truth so you can obey God then God will answer your prayer and show you the truth.
Finally, when you see the truth, when God opens your eyes to the truth, when you realize that this is the Eternal Truth of God Almighty, then act upon it! Be obedient to it! And do what God tells you to do through His word.It is only by living in obedience to the light you have that you gain more light.
Thanks for stopping by. I remain a servant for the sake of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor Henderson
Bible Doctrine 101 - How to Study the Bible
This first lesson lays the groundwork for future lessons. As such, it is extremely important that this lesson is understood prior to moving on to other lessons. How to study the Bible covers the Inspiration of the Bible; The Structure of the Bible; and the Rules for Studying the Bible.
The next lesson will take the overview of these rules and put them into a more practical application, but for now, simply understanding that the Bible has rules within it that teach how to study the Bible is sufficient.

Bible Doctrine 102a - Principals of Bible Interpretation - Part A
This is the first part of a two part lesson on the Principals of Bible Interpretation. In this lesson we look at the Principle of Primary and Secondary Meanings giving close attention to the position of the Bible in interpretation, which is always in Primary Meanings. The exception to the rule is when the primary meaning creates either a contradiction in Scripture or an absurdity.
Bible Doctrine 102b - Principals of Bible Interpretation - Part B
In this second part of the lesson on the Principals of Bible Interpretation we look at the Principle of Proof Texts and Reference Texts as well as the Principle of Text Governs Context; and, finally, the Principle of Work from the Top Down. Once you have completed this study you should have a good idea of what is necessary to study and understand the Bible.

Bible Doctrine 103 - Divine Preservation of Scripture
This lesson shows the the promises of God, relative to the preservation of Scripture. It begins by looking at what God thinks of Scripture, and how He places the worth of Scripture above His own name. Next considered is the preservation of the Old Testament text; followed by the preservation of the New Testament text. While modern liberal scholars would have you believe that God is incapable of preserving the Sacred Scriptures so we must rely upon them to tell us what they think God meant to say, their assessment is completely and totally incorrect. A Christian can have faith that what God intended for us to know can be known because God has preserved His Bible and will preserve it for all time.

Bible Doctrine 201 - Total Depravity: Its Nature and Extent
This is the first in a two-week series on Total Depravity which is a part of the "Essential Bible Doctrine Series." This lesson shows that there is an inherited "Nature" of "Sin" as well as "Sins" which we commit, as a result of the inherited nature of "Sin."
Bible Doctrine 202 - Total Depravity: Sin and its Effects
In this second lesson on the doctrine of total depravity, Pastor Henderson stresses the importance of understanding the absolute spiritual death caused by the sin of Adam in disagreement with most churches that teach that we did not "surely die" (Satan's lie in the Garden of Eden.)

Bible Doctrine 203 - What the Gospel is NOT!
This lesson, in the "Essential Bible Doctrine Series" shows that the popular theories of Gospel Means for Eternal Salvation defy logic as well as scripture. Pastor Henderson shows that the Gospel was never intended to be the means of eternal salvation but rather the message of eternal salvation.
Bible Doctrine 204 - What the Gospel IS!
This lesson in the "Essential Bible Doctrine Series" shows the reverse side of the previous lesson "What the Gospel is NOT!" In this lesson, Pastor Henderson shows that the Gospel (or Good News) is that if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ your eternal salvation is secure because your belief is not the cause of the new birth but the evidence of it! And that is not only good news, it is the best possible news!
Bible Doctrine 205 - Jesus Christ, The Cure for Sin
This lesson in the "Essential Bible Doctrine Series" shows how Jesus Christ is the cure for both the "Sin" nature we inherit from Adam as well as the individual "Sins" we commit. Pastor Henderson also introduces the topic of the "daysman" and the absolute necessity of Jesus Christ being God very God if His sacrifice is to be effectual in the salvation of His people from their sins.
Bible Doctrine 206 - The Plan of Salvation
In the last lesson, Pastor Henderson explained the "What" relative to salvation; in this lesson he explains the "How." And in the next few weeks he will explain the "When." This is another in the "Essential Bible Doctrine Series."
Bible Doctrine 207a - Two Salvations - Part A
In this first part of the lesson on the "Two-Salvations," Pastor Henderson shows that "Regeneration is related to conversion as birth is related to education." There is a salvation (eternal salvation) which is by grace and another salvation (conversion) which is conditional. Most churches do not differentiate between these two very different salvations and create conditions for eternal (which is not conditional) and ignore the temporal aspects of salvation.
Bible Doctrine 207b - Two Salvations - Part B
In this second part of the study on "Two Salvations," Pastor Henderson addresses the conditional nature of Gospel/Time/Fellowship Salvation as well as showing how to deal with certain universal terms.
Bible Doctrine 301 - The True Worship of the True Christ
In this lesson Pastor Henderson centers in on the verse in John 4 which teaches that God must be worshiped in "Spirit and in Truth." In other words it is the responsibility of the children of God to worship Him not only in spirit (regeneration) but also by following the pattern and instructions found in the Bible, "The Word of Truth."
Bible Doctrine 302 - Water Baptism
In this lesson Pastor Henderson covers the topic of water baptism; what it is; why we do it; what it accomplishes; who is authorized to baptize; and what the requirements are to be a candidate for baptism.
Bible Doctrine 303a - The New Testament Church - Part A
In this lesson, a part of the "Essential Bible Doctrine Series", Pastor Henderson outlines the organization of a true New Testament Church and shows that they are independent and subordinate only to God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Bible Doctrine 303b - The New Testament Church - Part B
The continuation of the study on the makeup of the New Testament Church, which is a part of the "Essential Bible Doctrine Series" by Pastor Henderson of the Lakeland Church in Lakeland Florida.
Bible Doctrine 304 - Christian Duty
This final lesson on the "Essential Bible Doctrine" series gives instructions to believers of their duty and obligations to God. What should our response be, as believers, recognizing that God, by His mercy and grace, has saved us from eternal damnation? This lesson answers that question.
