Elder Henderson, Pastor of The Lakeland Church

Elder Henderson has served as pastor of The Lakeland Church since December 2012. He was instrumental in the evangelizing and formation of The Lakeland Church in June of that year when his father in the ministry, Elder Conrad Jarrell, and he travelled to Lakeland at the request of a small home group seeking truth. After six-months of monthly visits, he accepted the call to be the full time pastor of The Lakeland Church. His wife Wendy and he then moved to Florida and have made Lakeland their home. In addition to the local congregation, Elder Henderson also oversees the remnant of the former Meadows Church of Las Vegas. He travels to the Las Vegas area four times a year to be with the non-resident members located in Southern Nevada, Central Arizona, California and other surrounding areas.

Pastor Henderson was duly ordained by a presbytery made up of ordained Elders with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery and prayer, which is the Biblical pattern of ordination as outlined in the Holy Scriptures. This, of course, after he had been examined to satisfy the presbytery that he met the qualifications of a Bishop as outlined in the epistles of the Apostle Paul of 1 Timothy and Titus. The presbytery included Elder Conrad O. Jarrell, II and Elder Benjamin J. Mott. Elder Mott baptized both Elder and Wendy Henderson over three decades ago and was their father in the faith. Elder Jarrell served as their pastor for almost 25 years and is Elder Henderson's father in the ministry. In all, Elder Henderson had served as a lay minister and licensed minister at his home church for the better part of twenty-five years prior to his ordination.
