The Lakeland Church
The Lakeland Church of Lakeland Florida was constituted on the second Sunday of June, 2012. The Lakeland Church is an independent, unincorporated, non-501(c)(3), KJV-only, sovereign grace Baptist church following the pattern of the New Testament churches found in the Bible.

The Lakeland Church traces its lineage back to the first century, and is not a "Protestant Church." Protestant Churches are those that recognize the Roman Catholic Church as the true Church that simply fell into error. The Lakeland Church, however, comes from the line of historical Baptist Churches that never recognized the Roman Catholic Church as being the true Church of Jesus Christ. The true Church has always been persecuted by the Roman Catholic and Protestant Churches and has gone by many different names down through the centuries. But the true Church has been here since the first century and will be here until Christ returns at the end of the world.

The Lakeland Church believes in the divine inspiration and preservation of the Bible in the King James Version (Authorized Version of 1611), which is the only basis of our faith and practice. The Lakeland Church believes in the sovereign electing grace of God which alone saves sinners eternally. The Lakeland Church believes that once a man believes the gospel and repents of his sins, he ought to be baptized by immersion in water which adds him to the local church. The Lakeland Church believes that the local church was instituted by God for the edifying and improvement of the faith of God's children and is where they should worship Him in spirit and in truth and fellowship with Christians of like-faith.

The Lakeland Church has very simple services, with singing, praying and preaching. We follow the example of Scripture in everything we do and if there is no authorization for a practice we do not include it as church.

If you are truly looking for a church where teaching the Word of God is the primary focus come visit The Lakeland Church. We promise, you will not be disappointed.

Sunday Church Services
The Lakeland Church meets each and every Sunday morning, beginning at 10:00am. Visitors are always welcome to attend any of our services and will find a very warm and friendly church family that comes together each week to learn of and worship the Lord Jesus Christ.

We NEVER pass the plate or ask visitors for donations, we do not force you to sign a visitors card, we do not show up on your door step and lay a guilt trip on you, and while we believe that all true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ should be members of a true New Testament Church, we never pressure anyone to join. If the Lord lays it upon your heart to do so please talk to the pastor and he will instruct you in what you should do.

For further information you can contact Pastor Henderson at (863) 646-0526.

Prayer Requests for Members of the Lakeland Church
We have several families, and individuals, within The Lakeland Church that are dealing with issues (health and otherwise) and prayers are requested for these Brethren. Let us remember, "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16)

While we do not post the names on this website, for obvious reasons, members of The Lakeland Church can contact Pastor at anytime for more information by calling (863) 646-0526.

Prayer Requests for other Churches and Ministers
Please also remember to keep the other churches and ministers in your prayers, as the true ministers of God need your support in all areas, not simply financial. Remember to pray that God will open a door of opportunity so that the Gospel can have an effectual work with others; and that new churches may be formed. Also, that God would raise up able ministers to take those works. And, finally, that God would bless the ministers to remain faithful to the doctrine and that the churches may grow.

If there is any hope for the survival of this nation we must remember that "the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17)
